As a disciple of Jesus, I offer prayer and touch with love and faith in God. In the Bible, Peter says "If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised though Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." (1 Peter 4:11). During a session, I pray out loud, asking the Holy Spirit to enter the space, fill each of us and for God's energy to guide and flow through my hands for healing, comfort, wisdom and peace.
Coming from personal experience of struggling for many years with physical and emotional pain on a difficult journey toward healing, I attest to the infinite power yet simplicity of prayer and gentle touch. This is for anyone who seeks greater ease, health, relaxation and well-being through the grace of the Lord. Recipients often experience pleasant sensations such as warmth and a deeper appreciation of God's presence within and around them, strengthening their faith.
God gives each of us gifts. In the Bible, Matthew 10:1 explains that Jesus gave his disciples authority over unclean spirits so they could drive them out to heal every disease and sickness. 1 Corinthians 12:7 says "But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good." For to one is given the word of wisdom, to another the word of knowledge, to another faith, "and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit." (12:9). The more I seek God, the closer God comes to me, bringing gifts, blessings and plans for my life. Helping others through transitions, difficulties and dark times in the way I've described is one of God's purposes for me.
In John 14:12 Jesus says "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father."
